Refund Policy

Summary: Mainaka is a paid digital preparation platform. Due to the nature of digital services — where AI compute is consumed the moment a session starts — purchases are generally non-refundable. However, billing errors, duplicate charges, and technical failures that prevent access are corrected in full, no questions asked.

1. What we sell

Mainaka provides digital visa interview preparation services for Indian students applying for US F1 student visas. Products include:

All paid products are digital services delivered immediately upon purchase. No physical goods are shipped.

2. General refund rule

Once a paid plan has been activated and digital access has been granted, purchases are final and non-refundable.

This is because each practice session runs live AI compute the moment it starts. The cost of delivering the service is incurred immediately on purchase.

3. Exceptions — when we do refund

We will issue a full refund in the following cases:

To request a refund under any of the above, email support@mainaka.com within 7 days of the charge with your registered email and payment reference. We respond within 24 hours and process eligible refunds within 5–7 business days.

4. Validity and expiry

The Prep Pass is valid for 2 months from the date of purchase. The Study Portal is valid for 60 days from the date of purchase. Expiry of a plan does not entitle the user to a refund — the service was available for the full stated period.

5. No visa outcome guarantee

Mainaka does not guarantee visa approval. Our platform is a preparation and simulation tool. Visa decisions are made solely by US consular officers based on individual applications. A refund cannot be claimed on the basis of a visa refusal.

If you initiate a chargeback with your bank or card issuer without contacting us first, your account will be suspended pending investigation. We encourage you to contact us directly at support@mainaka.com — most issues are resolved the same day.
